L'ATUFORCAL a pris naissance à partir de la société Tunisienne des maladies respiratoires et d'allergologie, à partir d'un groupe de travail sur l'allergologie [GTFORCAL] qui a pris son envol après la réussite des 9èmes Journées de Formation Continue en Allergologie qu'il a organisé avec la STMRA en octobre 2010 à Tunis.
En 2010, le GTFORCAL est devenu une association juridiquement indépendante de la STMRA sous la dénomination de l'ATUFORCAL (JORT 145 du 3/12/2011).
L'ATUFORCAL a par la suite grandi pour devenir une force majeure dans l'Allergologie en Tunisie, touchant plusieurs spécialités médicales, la pneumologie, la dermatologie, ORL, la pédiatrie et l'ophtalmologie.
L'objectif principal de l'ATUFORCAL est d'améliorer les connaissances théoriques et pratiques des praticiens en Allergologie en proposant des formations régulières et des remises à niveau à tous ses membres pratiquant l'allergologie soit à titre exclusif, soit dans le cadre d'une spécialité.
Cette formation est assurée à travers des séminaires pratiques, des journées de formation, des ateliers et son congrès annuel.
L'ATUFORCAL fait actuellement partie de La fédération ANAFORCAL Internatinale regroupant 17 associations nationales francophones dont l'ANAFORCAL, représentant 17 pays et 1200 praticiens : Algérie, Belgique, Bénin, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Côte d'Ivoire, France, Guinée Conakry, Mali, Mauritanie, Niger, Sénégal, Togo, Madagascar, Maroc, Tunisie et Djibouti.
